And today, I've been seeing a lot, a lot of talk and different conversations had about this generation don't want to do this, and this generation way better. But here I'm here to tell you. I'm a Gen Zer, by the way, for in case people didn't know. The people that came before us, let's just say Gen X. The millennials, Gen X, Boomers, however you want to, whichever generation you want to pick from. Y'all weren't perfect either. It been because think about it. At the time, boomers, our great-grandparents or grandparents, they had 765 kids in a house. We in this generation don't pride ourselves on having kids, but can we afford because that is a luxury now. Having kids is a luxury. Understand it's a blessing from God and all the other type of stuff,

Why Life Feels Like Luxury

and that's fine. But it's a luxury. Meaning, if you don't have stable finances, stable operating positioning in your life, or even people that even just so happen to watch your child while you're gone. Because they care is expensive, everything going up. I just they tell me they tried to charge him $116 for a simple oil change. And no, before you, oh, he might got a Hellcat. He doesn't no, he doesn't. It was actually a pickup truck. A pickup model truck. It wasn't the room room, wasn't all not all the little fancy gadgets and flock cameras that's in most of these canoe cars now. Just in case, if you if you plan on buying a new vehicle, understand they got cameras and they putting cameras in these vehicles and they watch. Just saying. But yeah, it's it's a luxury to do a lot of stuff that the other generation could do. So therefore, when they say you can just go work at this job and this job, if your rent is $1,500 a month, and let's just say you working at McDonald's, you getting paid like $600 a month. So, I mean $600 biwigly. So sometimes we're getting paid three times a month, sometimes you're getting paid twice a month. So, with meaning, you have you still have twelve hundred dollars, you still have three hundred dollars left for counterforme that you need to find some way to save up in order to be able to pay your bills. Not only on top of the other stuff that you got going on, which is your internet, cable, internet, cable, uh, whatever sub subscription you may have, it's not that easy no more. You have to be a you have to be a lot, a lot more tighter on money than you ever did in those past generations. So therefore, when we go, how they used to try to always, you know, I know you probably, I know people probably already heard this, how they used to try to tell us, well, with this, we used to get 50 cents, we can go get a bag of a bag, a big bag of chips. Now, a big bag of chips is causing causing you almost six dollars at Walmart. And it's gotten so bad to the point to where most of these stores are even going

Budgeting, Meal Prep, And Sacrifices

on sale because people are not spending a lot of money. Everybody wants to cook fast food and all this other type of stuff. They want it, they want stuff quick, microwave food. They don't get nothing to cook and it holds them over. Like a lot of people don't meal prep. Just put in and put in plant scripts. A lot of people don't meal prep. A lot of people don't even put themselves in position to save money, but then they complain like I'm doing this and doing that. Yes, you have to be more tight on your money. You can't go to that trip you want to do, not right off. Make sure your expenses at home are straight first before you try to up and up and go on a four-five hundred dollar trip, and you know your rent is over a thousand dollars. You know your rent and light bill and all that stuff together, and then you in school too. Yes, that's a lot of money, people. You gotta start making smart financial decisions. You can't be out here club hopping and going to the casino knowing good and well, you ain't got no money. But back then, the older generation don't understand that's the type of stuff that we have to do. We have to make a lot of sacrifices, and not saying that everything that was, oh, well, buying a house was always expensive in our generation and stuff like that. We're not saying that it wasn't, but it's good and well not as expensive as it is now. Because if that's the case, it'll be more, it'll be more people staying in an apartment than having a house. It's people out here that are 67 years old, 60, 70 years old, 50 some years old, do still paying rent on a house that they bought 40 years ago. Wholeheartedly, I promise you this. This sounds crazy to you. You know how much rent some people on section eight still ain't paid out the house. And we and I'm not knocking it, which how your bills are your bills are basically capped at a certain amount if you exceptionate your rent. The best thing for you to do if you are on section eight right now, or some type of housing housing plan where you can muster, save, stack your money up, and pay, I'll pay down on my rent months ahead. So I ain't got to worry about that. All it is cool, all I'm paying for is utility bills, and that's it. You have to think ahead and think small like that. But a lot of time when people of the older generation was given opportunities and given certain leaders and leeway, they didn't take advantage of it. Therefore, how people tell how people use the saying of you have to the blind can't lead the blind, right? Your child upcoming only seen you struggle. He never seen you make smart decisions. That will either invoke two things. Either they will become more, they will become more savvy enough to not have to go through

these things with money, or they're gonna follow in your same footsteps. Going to college is not gonna teach them uh money skills. 100% it's not gonna teach them money skills. Economics is not gonna teach them money skills, it's gonna teach you the regulations and study of how money for uh shape this, what we got going on now, shape this system. Financial literacy and personal financial literacy, in my opinion, I feel like it's the most essential amount of teaching. Which it don't get propagated enough in school. We don't have five financial lit 101 or none of that. All you have is economics, home economics, or different types of study of uh economics and stuff like that. You don't have the one that actually hit home, tell you about taxes, tell you about tax deduction, tell you if you're making over a certain amount of money, you're gonna have to you you need to basically be your own CPA. You don't have to hire people in the CPA position. You can learn this information on your own people. This is something that that that that is I'm not saying is it's free to look up. It's free to look up 100%. We have AI and all these other tools now, because at first, people the old the older people then like AI. I mean, then like all the technology and all this stuff now. Now they can't even tell what's the difference between an AI video and a real video, and they just eating the content of oh my god, this yeah, this this video, man. Look at this, man. This video looks real. They can't even tell because they don't have the discernment like we do. We grew up with the technology, so we see we seen the height, the high, the height point of it, and we also seen the points of where the internet, if we see in ourselves that we can't believe everything that we see, we can't trust our own eyes. So you have to have the right mind to be like, okay, let me look into this to see if it's true, before I start writing it off and believing it and acting like it may be when I don't know. Because that's why I said you don't really know until you really put yourself out there to understand, like, okay, look at all this stuff that they're putting out here for these people. Too good to be true, not even just scams and stuff like that. Some stuff you may get from a real person, real people out here be trying to scam you, scam emails, scam, it's it's a lot of stuff like that. It is also confusing too to the people that it may not be used to or may not even deal with people. That's why I say you have to let your people know because they what I just said in my last podcast, people. If you don't know, we are in a how to solve the literacy crisis. Reading, reading and informing yourself can teach you how to adjust to the time that we're living in now. 100%. So get grandmama, get granddaddy, get paw paw, me mom, whoever you want to get, however, whatever name you call them by, and let them know what's up. And it's not it ain't nothing wrong with that. We're not telling you, we not saying that, oh, we going through this and going through that. We have Gen Z has a lot on the plate, has a lot on their plate.

College Costs And Workload Reality

Not saying that y'all didn't back in the day, but we face ours is hit on. Because a lot of times these people just got out of school. It hit home for a lot of people when you leave high school. Because now you're starting to get bills in your name, you're starting to get credit cards in your name, you're starting to understand, like, I can't ask, can't be too quick to ask my parents for money, depending on what type of parents you got, to cash at me for DoorDash, or to give me this and give me that. So a lot of times, too, everybody doesn't have the luxury to be like, just go just focus on school. I got the money part.

And the type of job that I was working at, which I was working at Popeye, I got paid, my checks were looking like 152, 147. If I got over 45 hours, which that was like 300, 300 and some dollars, they cut my hours. Imagine going from 45 hours to back down to 27. You work full time, then they knock it back down to part-time. Full time, back down to part-time. That's unsettlement for a college student for surely. Because understand my tuition money, the money that I was getting back for refunds, you know where that half of that money had to go? I had to spend that. I had to use the money for that for books. Every class needed a book almost 50, six, fifty, fifty dollars, sixty dollars, eighty dollars. And then not only that, I had to pay for the software program, people. Y'all generation don't understand. We have to pay for software programming, we have to pay for books, tuition. You you basically got to pay just to be in the classroom. You you really do. Then they charge technology fee, vocate. They it's something called a VCC fee, too. Look at your account summary and look what's being taken out of your account. I've been, I was looking at this, I'm like, where in the hell all my money going? What why is it 2,000 here, 1,700 here? My c it's like the classes are getting higher and higher. I promise, I I promise you, I'm not lying. The clock, I it started, it was simple, because at first, when I was taking all them classes, that's why some people only limit their classes. Because once you take eight classes, yes, you're gonna start to see $2,000, $3,000. That fast for money is gone. And when I tell you you blow through that money quick, taking all them classes that one time, you blow through that money real fast. That's why you have to start paying it yourself. Because the quicker you try to get done with school, the quicker that money runs out. And you can blow through fast for money in this day and age in two semesters, depending on how much you got. But I I didn't really get back enough to hold me for two years of college. Whole hundred percent. It lasted me for one, it lasted me, I think, for like two to three semesters, and then again I had to pay. Because I I I had no more fashion. It it cooked me because I kept getting eight class. That's why I lowered it down to be an amount that I was comfortable of paying. Because if I didn't, I was gonna be in the hole. But I wanted to graduate, I wanted to go to school, keep going. But it's hard enough to focus on that type of thing when you don't have you ain't getting enough hours at work. Then when you are getting the hours, you gotta stay. Because I used to do 3D 11, 2 to 11, working at Popeye. Mind you, assignments are due at 11:59. So, you know what I did? I took my work with me to work on my lunch break. I'm doing schoolwork on the phone, doing schoolwork. I was dead dedicated, and it ain't like, oh, uh, because people try to. This is what I'm telling y'all about the old gen. This is about what the older generation don't understand about college work. You just don't get a couple assignments here, a couple assignments there. You have literally your whole dashboard of work in canvas, everything. You got something to do every day, every day. Yes, you are paid. You ain't just doing once you catch up on the weekend work, you got a week, you got a week of other work to do. You got an essay to write, you gotta study, they'll test the study for you got all that. Because a lot of times people don't understand this, too. They will lock the module to get into the next chapter until they want everybody to be on the same page. That's what y'all, that's what the older generation don't understand. They don't understand the new ship with canvas, they will lock the modules intentionally until they want everybody to be on the same page, and you can be done with your work and all that, you're ready for the next chapter, but you oh, this is not opening up till 12 o'clock in the morning or in the afternoon, and then you like, bruh, I'm trying to get ahead. And then when you try to do a simple, like I said, all classes don't permit for don't permit you to just go ahead doing your assignment. Some classes you have to wait, and that can hold you back, so it's not putting everything out there into perspective of being like, oh, our generation is this and this school alone is is a full full-time, part-time, hell, sometime type job. I prunk because school ain't for the week. If y'all have to go through this type of, and then I only did these teachers are not since we are since we became more tech savvy, covet has actually shifted a lot of stuff in our detriment. It hasn't helped us at all. It has made stuff really worse for people because less people are really learning, the teacher don't really want to teach for real. All they have to do is just send you hyperlinks of what they want you to or what the noise is for today, and then expect you to get it from the video. So that was that was the pros and cons of actually going through that type of going through that type of uh just going through that type of that just type of inconvenience with each other. Cause now it just like the teacher back then, they didn't I don't know. It's like a lot of people been in this field, they like they is they keep teaching, they they losing more interest in it. Like leave. Just leave. You hurting people doing this. People trying to go to college, people trying to make money, people are trying to have a career, but they cannot do that. Why? Because look at what you're doing, you don't care, you're coming in with less energy. I got to figure out what I'm supposed to be doing. You did, but you still scheduling assignments though. We don't know, we ain't been in your class. I had a friend, she told me she literally went to this man's class once a week and had testes for him. This is the type of stuff we go through in college, but at the same time, it might not sound believable to y'all. Y'all might not believe. Y'all might think, oh, they just make an excuse that they have this and this. No, this is what every generation has their own set of adversity. We on the other end, we get tackled from every single angle. Boom, boom, boom. You can't eat nothing now. The food is heavily contaminated. School, school is becoming the school education is a luxury. Having kids is a luxury. Everything is becoming a luxury now. We can't afford, you basically can't afford to do nothing. Hell, having an apartment, because I know I done looked up, if you go on Zillow, look up Georgia, Memphis, Tennessee. Tell me why in the hell a room is $2,000, a one-bedroom is three over $2,000 and something, $2,263 in Tennessee, and uh West Hat, just different places like that. And you mean to tell me, like, no, you're gonna have to. I'm telling you, it's crunch time. When I tell you how to watch every single dollar that you do, people in this for the people of Gen Z. Because I know y'all like to say, oh, well, everybody in Gen Z don't want to work, they're doing this. Don't compare, don't, don't put everybody in the box because you don't want nobody comparing you. Because some of y'all generation homeless. So if I see a person that of a generation homeless and scrunk out, do I think everybody's a crackhead? Do I think everybody doesn't have the uh the finances just because this person has failed on hard times? No, I do not. So that's why I said stop overly generalizing people as in such we are the dummies, and we come from y'all. And to be honest, a lot of y'all are not that bright. And wholehearted percent. And we're not doing the comparison thing because I'm not doing, I'm not trying to, oh, Gen Z is so much better than Gen X, millennials, yeah. So totally totally, no, I'm not doing that. I don't really care. You can have your opinion about what you want to anyway. I don't quite rank, I don't, it don't make me no never mind. Because I know what I do. I go to work, I work hard, I plan, I execute. That's it. And that's all

Comparison Culture And Major Choices

people ever need to know. I don't have to tell you what I'm doing to make myself feel validated by you. Who are you? That's what's wrong with the internet culture, and true enough, y'all didn't have the internet and stuff like that, and I feel like that's the main, that is one of the main, the most triggering things, and the thing that called the most people downfall in our generation is the comparison factor, seeing people on the internet. It seeing people have more money than us, more success, more fame, more notoriety, look better, all the other type of stuff. Because you see, you see a thousand people, what a a million dollars, a millionaire. They on boats. You see a thousand people, a thousand people that's in shape, doing all this stuff. They got the pretty women, they doing all this type of stuff. But you uh you gotta understand, in the sense of what I'm saying, too, it's not to put nobody down or none like that. This this talk is just me being honest with ourselves and actually being being a whole hundred, a whole hundred about just where we stand as people. We live in different times now. We can't just upright go to college because a lot of kids are struggling. I have a cousin, she got a scientific engineering degree. She's on the co she's somewhere on the coast, on the coastline. She can't use her degree. This is what I be talking about. Even finding entry-level job, basic entry-level jobs, are hard. Yes, if you staying in the area that don't consume it. That's an area that don't really pick up on that type of stuff. That's why I said when you're doing your major for all the people of Gen Z. We talking, we having a we having a heart to heart with GNZ right now. I'm having a heart to heart with Gen Z. Pick your major smartly. Do not let these people tell you. Stop listening to your people. Go get a scientific and science engineering degree, computer science. No, don't do that. Because it's if people with a computer science degree, they can't find no job with it yet. Because you want to know why? Because they in a location where it's not getting supported. So therefore, parents stop feeding your kids this misinformation. And when they fall and they can't find nothing, you say, Well, you weren't looking for no job, you weren't doing this, and they probably and they were. Hell, what's supporting it? You see what I'm saying? But you see how you see what I'm saying? And that constantly nagging and feel you always want to bring up. So, what you doing now? All that. Do you want people to come up every time you come around? How the job is going? I'm surprised you ain't got five yet. Like, do you want people to do that to you? Is what I'm saying. That's what a lot of people in GNZ go through, especially getting out of college. Cause I know how I know how I feel. People made you feel less because you didn't go to college. People made you feel less that you graduated late. Or, oh, you not trying. You just playing. When you up every day putting in work. Just because I didn't want to do something that you wanted me to do, I'm a failure now. Like, help help me make that make sense. I don't understand when it comes down to that and trying to, but you can't explain this. These are the type of conversations you can't explain to the older generation because they are not us. They don't know what it's like to be in school in 2026. Uncertain it's grown people now that are still going to college. And ask them, is it easy to maneuver? Ask them. You go ask. I want you to go ask three people who are still in school right now. Is it easy? Why you think they wait till their kids are older? Wait till they position and is wait till they actually have a somewhat steady life to go back into that field. Because it takes a lot out of a person, not only time, especially money, and also it takes a lot of focus. You don't have time to do a lot of stuff, you're gonna miss out on a lot. That's why I separate away to a school. Whole hundred percent. A lot of people get themselves give their life away to their career. And by the time they die and get old, they have accomplished nothing. They ain't spent time with their family. They hell their family barely knew them. All they know, one day they woke up and they was dead. They was always at work. You don't want that to be your legacy. You was always at work, you ain't never spent time. When you did spend time, all you were doing was fussing. You don't care about what they that's why I said it's a difference between and know this generation is so this generation they're doing this. Everybody don't have the same value, as I just said, people. Y'all, people of older generation have homeless people, they have people that that have crooks, they have all types of people that do weird type of stuff, but we do not generalize and say all y'all are like this because some of y'all claim to be so smart, so intelligent, and can't nobody tell you nothing, but at the same time, at least listen and understand what perspective that a person younger than you is coming from. Don't just try to write off every single time. Because a lot of times, too, you can maybe learn something from people. We it ain't just the young Wimper Snap team me nothing. I am why you taking such offensive. I I can't say nothing to you. Like, I can't say nothing to you. You you already bulking up and at defense about something just because I'm combating a idea, ideal that you were

Faith, Guilt, And Family Control

That is not that ain't how that's supposed to go. If you teach and teach, but all this disciplinary treating me like I'm a inmate trying to enforce me and I'm guilt tripping. This is something that the older generation know all too well. All y'all do when y'all feel like at the same time, when y'all when y'all at a point or when y'all wrong and y'all have to meet up with it, you start guilt tripping. I didn't know. I wasn't familiar. I didn't need it's only so long you're gonna use that excuse. It's only so long you're gonna be able to use that excuse. Just like y'all don't want to hear for much. We don't want to hear from y'all. We didn't know either. So, therefore, you being the judge, the executioner, and all this other type of stuff, help people understand. Everything don't have to get called for me getting hurt for me to understand, people, and not just even saying that. We just talking about ideas. We ain't even talking about just discipline there, we just talking about ideas that we were brought up on. Y'all can't even tell us what what it is that the Bible is, what it is with this religion. All y'all can say, you're going to hell if you don't do this. You're going to heaven if you do this. If you disobey, just like how they try to say, if a child disobeyed thy mother and father, they were shortening thy days. I yeah, I read the Bible a little deep. Oh, you you surprised? But also, the Bible says that parents should not should not provoke the child.

The same thing your pastor doing, that's why he's having you dropping money in that collection plate every single Sunday. He makes you feel some when you say that. And not to even go out too much on topic, he makes you feel some when you say that. People, you've been duped. Wake up! For real, man. Like, I I still don't understand. That's why that's why I never understand about the generation that the generation before us. We are some people, everybody's not gonna follow in sheet. Everybody's not gonna follow in in herbs. Because some people have their own mind. Everybody have questions. Everybody not just gonna get behind a lot of stuff and follow behind everything. You gotta understand, people. If you want to be the guy, be the guy. But don't be the person that be like, well, if they don't do it, you're going to hell. You just gonna put me in, you just gonna put me down there. I ain't even earned my spot to be there. You won't put me down there. But just because I had a question, or I don't I don't see what you're seeing, help me. You supposed to be the parent, help me. But they don't get talked about a lot, so it gets labeled as what? Disrespectful. But people, here's what I be here's not to even go too much off on a tangent, but back on topic, people, it's not that a lot of sometimes people don't want to work hard, and it's not everybody in Gen Z because I know people that's in my same age bracket, if not a little younger than me that are doing amazing, making over $15,000, $20,000 a month. Some people making people are a millionaire, my age. All about their work and what and what time and energy they put into. That's what I said. This is stuff that wasn't even thought of even being achievable at 24, 23, 22 years old. Yes, it's people walking around here richer than you at a young, young age, straight cop, a straight college student, young, richer than you, but at the same time, you walk around with the half voice thinking that oh our generation is this, generation is that, and let's go, and even that that spins me off into another thing, too,

Trauma, Abuse, And The "Soft" Label

people. The softness. Y'all people, y'all don't know what people have been through. Y'all don't know what people have been through. Y'all call people soft. If you haven't seen before, it's a boy named Nitro Camden. He was a twitch screamer. He is his mom literally was punching them all in the neck. She grabbed his head, bit him in the lip because he celebrated, because he got over 10,000, 10,000 screams, 10,000 viewers in his chat. And you say to yourself, well, what what was he doing that was so bad to have his mama bite him in the lip, elbow him all in the head? She he was basically trying to tell her, I got people, I got 10,000, 10,000 people in my chat right now. And for the people that don't know about Twitch culture, when you have those type of viewership, that equates money. Thousands of dollars to be exact. And you want to know what's so crazy? He made over $150,000 in that one day. $150. And that's not even a cap off on how much he made. He was a person screaming only the one viewer, but it's the fact that he didn't even receive the support.

If you watch my vibe, this been going on. She been hitting on me. She been doing this. And it's a lot of kids out here going through this type of stuff. So when you say we're weak, we're weak. Nah. A lot of times we are a lot stronger than what y'all think we are. We ain't dealt with a lot of people, you don't know what people they dealt with behind the scenes. But y'all love to try to write people off and box people in. That's why I said, you don't know people. I don't know you, so I'm not making on that serious assumption. Just because, oh, you're Gen Z. He's not even a part. Well, yes, he is. He is a part of Gen Z. Senior in high school, people. And the part is it's just about understanding the process and understanding who people is as a whole. You gotta understand when you keep hurting people and you keep putting people through all types of traumatic experiences and stuff like that, yeah, they're gonna lash out. They're gonna get enough. There's anybody. A dog would do it. That's why I say I it's been plenty of times, people. Sometimes you can push yourself right into a nursing home and not even know it. But at the same time, if he if he did decide to cut off his mama, because at the same time, a lot of people we hold respect. That my mama at the end of the day, I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna do that. Cool, and that's fine. But what if he decides not to? Is he does he deserve to go to hell now? I'm I'm asking, does he deserve to go to hell through Christianity if his mother is provoking him? This is against the Bible, in your words, if we're going by the Bible, we're going by the Holy Bible, King James Version, wherever the Old Testament, whatever testament you want to read it from, does he deserve to go to hell? Okay, all because he said I need, yes, but and like I said, it's a far f and like I said, I don't know the young man, but seeing the seeing that situation break down on the internet that that's traumatic for anybody to experience. Because a lot of people getting beat on at home and not saying nothing. I didn't have friends and acquaintances to tell me about that. This this is a serious issue, and they always grow up on the defense. If you jump at them, like I said, if you jump at them, it's that trigger in them. They automatically flinch or they cover themselves. You see it in some, you see it in some people. You can sometimes you can see the trauma, you can feel it, you can see the energy. But that don't make you soft though, because a lot of times they push people to kill people, they push people actually to hurt people. They don't make you soft, it actually breaks your it, it breaks you away from your humanity

Drugs, Coping, And Double Standards
